ALL the letters of a TTF font is created with filled closed surfaces, even if it LOOK like a line. If you use an alternative font that generates closed vectors, the Shape Editor can then create a shape. Its not possible to have a font in True Type format created with a single line. The final product is about 45'x80' with small text, hence the long run time. However, if you use the Shape Editor tool with single-line text, such as p, A or e, that text comprises a set of open vectors and the Shape Editor tool cannot create a shape. That deepest it ever cuts is 0.188' and with a step down of 0.25' it should be able to do it in a single pass. The Shape Editor tool is compatible with closed vectors only. Therefore, provided you have a single-line font (*.ttf) in this folder, you can type in single-line font vectors within ArtCAM using the Create Vector Text tool. Please note that Autodesk ArtCAM acquires the TrueType fonts installed in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder on your computer.
